David Idwal Davies (born 10 November 1915(1915-11-10) in Llanelli district[1] — died 7 July 1990(1990-07-07) (aged 74) in Llanelli) was a Welsh former dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s and '40s who at representative level played rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Swansea RFC, playing at Centre, i.e. number 12 or 13, and at representative level played rugby league (RL) for Wales, and at club level for Leeds.[2]

International honours

Idwal Davies won a cap for Wales (RU) while at Swansea RFC against England on 21 January 1939, and won a cap for Wales (RL) while at Leeds in 1945.[3]
